September 2023 Newsletter-What's Really Goin' On

Summer is winding down and fall is just around the corner. We did not have a hurricane, but enough rain to help us uncover another spot where our roof leaks. The Tell Ya Later Show is still going strong and we have great guests coming up. If you have been watching on YouTube or listening on your favorite podcast streaming service, THANK YOU! Please consider supporting us on Patreon and experiencing even more fun or visiting our online store. Unlike the Tell Ya Later Show, my garden didn't do so well. Someone told me it had bugs, so I sprayed it with what I thought was soap. I'm guessing it wasn't soap because it went from:

The moral of the story is: make sure you know what you are spraying before you do it. The good news is some little yellow tomatoes are still growing on the very brown vines (are they ok to eat?)

VO Events & News

San Diego Comic Con was a lot of fun. I did my first cosplay as Sheila the Thief from the Dungeons and Dragons cartoons - a character I voiced 40 years ago! We had an awesome panel celebrating the anniversary. You can see most of it on YouTube. If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen this very clever short video created by Ms. Joy Liu. If not, here it is now!

I'm headed for the greater Philadelphia area for RETROCON, September 9&10, where I might show up in my new cosplay attire again.

Then, off to Washington, D.C. for the boutique Mid Atlantic Voiceover Conference (MAVO) November 8-10, where I get to run an Ensemble Workshop & one for Toys, Games and Apps.

Two weeks later, Saturday, November 18, I get to teach an advanced animation workshop at Atlanta Voiceover Studio,

In the meantime, I've been working on a book that should be out by the end of September, if not sooner. Details forthcoming in a separate, special announcement.

Also, keep you eyes open on ACX for the downloadable Adventures in Oddity Bonus Edition audio version.
